Klean Kanteen, a family-owned company in Chico, CA, was the first to create water bottles that are reusable, safe, lightweight & made from high quality 18/8 stainless steel. Available in assorted colors, styles and sizes from sippy cups to 40 oz, these reusable bottles are 100% BPA, lead-free and free of phthalates. Accessories include stainless steel caps, sport caps and carrying slings.

Klean Kanteen not only makes safe water bottles but they also maintain high levels of oversight at their facilities in China to ensure that their factories meet Klean Kanteen’s strong environmental and fair labor standards. They visit their manufacturing facilities 4-5 times per year and perform audits every six months, plus the company has representatives living in China who visit the factories regularly to ensure implementation of quality control. Additionally, they do regular lab testing on random shipments through a local lab in the U.S. to ensure their products are made per their specifications, are free of hazardous substances such as lead, and do not leach chromium, manganese, etc.

In addition, Klean Kanteen has partnered and supports like minded organizations including The Breast Cancer Fund, Healthy Child Healthy World, and Green Mountain Energy, just to name a few. And in 2008 Klean Kanteen became a member of 1% For The Planet. Their environmental business practices also ensures that all their packaging from the hand tags on the bottle to the boxes and other materials used in shipping their products is either recycled or made from materials certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
