Design & Functionality
Klean Kanteen is a reusable, risk-free stainless steel container that does not leach toxins into its contents. Reusable, lightweight & durable. The wide-mouth accommodates ice cubes and makes cleaning easy.
The Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Sippy Cup includes a 12 oz stainless steel bottle, a sippy adapter and two Avent sippy spouts. Simply screw the adapter and spout into the top of the bottle and you have a safe, non-leaching alternative to the traditional plastic sippy cup. Also consider adding a protective colorful bottle sleeve to insulate the bottle and help kid-proof it from the occasional drop and ding!
Materials
Made from electropolished, non-leaching, high grade 304 L.N. (18/8) stainless steel. Klean Kanteen’s 304 L.N. stainless steel is grade blended specifically for food preparation, dairy, brewing, various medical uses and other applications where mineral migration is unacceptable. The steel is put through a electropolishing process which seals the surface and prevents minerals from migrating into the contents. These reusable, risk-free stainless steel containers do not impart taste and do not leach toxins into their contents. Plastics (polycarbonate) have been shown to leach carcinogens including BPA during regular use, exposure to heat and especially after cleaning. From manufacturing, to use and disposal, plastics pollute our health and environment.
Sustainability
100% recyclable. Reusing durable Klean Kanteen bottles ultimately helps you consume less over time. Furthermore, 304 (or 18/8) stainless steel is a sustainable material, having a long service life, usability in a number of applications and is environmentally friendly. Stainless steel needs less maintenance and its hygienic qualities means that we do not have to use harsh cleaners to get a clean surface.

About Klean Kanteen
Klean Kanteen, a family-owned company in Chico, CA, was the first to create a stainless steel beverage container to curb the use of the one-time use water bottle and in response to credible reports about chemicals in common plastic drinking and food containers. Since 2004, Klean Kanteen has been informing the public about the health and environmental hazards of eating and drinking from plastic containers at consumer and trade shows such as Green Festivals, Outdoor Retailer Market, Natural Products Expo West and East, Interbike Expo, Whole Children Whole Planet and many others.
Klean Kanteen visits their manufacturing facilities 4-5 times per year and perform audits every six months to ensure all of their products are produced with respect for the environment and fair labor standards, including: the ethical treatment of factory workers, child labor, wages/benefits, health and safety, etc. Additionally, they do regular lab testing on random shipments through a local lab in the U.S. to ensure their products are made per their specifications, are free of hazardous substances such as lead, and do not leach chromium, manganese, etc.

Care Instructions
Klean Kanteens are easy to clean with a bottle brush and mild soap. We recommend an old fashioned cleaner: white vinegar and baking soda. Stainless steel does not rust. If your bottle appears to have rusted, it is a harmless residue left behind from the electro-polishing process. Electro charges remove fine particles from the stainless steel surface, remove impurities and seal it. Electrolytes left behind sometimes turn a rust color, but it's harmless.
This is the best sippy cup in the universe! Light weight and super clean and Green! I just wish we stop loosing them!

Cup is great, sippy lid isn't
The cup is great and both of my kids love their colors. However, I was disappointed with the sippy lid, I found it difficult to keep clean - especially the area on the underside between the clear plastic and the plastic upper portion, where the drink flows through. Thankfully, the lids are interchangeable, so I threw away the sippy lid and ordered a sports cap instead. It does get a little messy having an 18 mo old drink from the sports cap, but since its usually just water inside clean up isn't a problem.

My whole family loves these!
Good-bye plastic bottled water! Good-bye "Mommy I want a drink of water" at 3 am! Good-bye BPAs from reusable water bottles! We use these for hydration during workouts, drinks in the car and for a nightstand refresher. My preschool-aged kids keep a Kleen Kanteen on the nightstand and have never-not-once spilled at all on the bed or hardwood floor. (By the way, if you take the valve out of the green sippy top, it makes a great bottle top for thirsty adults during a workout...just sayin...) I accidentally left a bottle in the car during winter and it bowed a bit on the bottom. With one tap of the hammer it went back to its original shape. We put the bottles in the dishwasher but hand-wash the tops and, after 4 years or so have yet to ruin one. I did have one leak a few years back and the company replaced it quickly and sent me a check for shipping expenses. We keep a few by the door and grab one when we leave for the day. These are the best things since sliced bread.

Love it, dishwasher safe
We just love using Klean Kanteens. I've had one for about two years and finally got both of my kids their own. No interior coatings, no cartoon characters that they have outgrown, just a simple, bold solid color and dishwasher safe! At 12 oz. it holds more than most sippy cups (which generally hold 9 oz), and I can convert it to a regular water bottle when my son is ready by swapping out the lid.

Love these bottles
Love these bottles. This one is for my 18 month old and it is easy for him to grab and hold onto. Easy to wash out with a brush and takes hitting the floor with no problem.

I LOVE this cup
I LOVE this cup. Wide mouth makes it easy to peer inside and make sure it is completely clean, and I love that the water comes out tasting so incredibly clean. It holds a good amount of liquid and it is so easy for small hands to grasp. If it ever were to go on sale, I'd be sure to snap up a few more! The only thing I wish it had was a cap/lid... so the spout doesn't become dirty.

We love it, my 2 year old can use it easily

My husband has used the Klean Kanteen for years and we were thrilled finding sippy cups to stop the plastic. They do get a bit cold with cold beverages so we put koozies on them. They also have quite a few parts if you're not looking for simplicity, 5 total). They look like they will last us forever so we're putting up with the quirks.

My 3 1/2 y.o. grandson loves this sippy cup. It keeps the drinks cold which he likes. The only complaint is that the outside is too cold so we simply put an insulating sleeve on it and away he goes!

Excellent product
Excellent product. I purchased for my grandson's 1st birthday and he loves it, I rest easy that it is a safe container for all his beverages. It is a little heavy if you fill it too full. All in all a great product. I recommended the larger Klean Kanteen bottles to my parents.
