Materials
BPA-free BPA-free Eastman Tritan. We debated whether or not to add a Tritan item to our store - toted as a safe alternative to polycarbonate plastic we simply didn't have enough information to make a decision. After reviewing the independent studies, however, we feel comfortable both using, and offering Tritan to our customers.
Sustainability
Compatible with Leave No Trace ethics, these sporks replace hundreds of disposable utensils each year - sparing our landfills and saving you money. Light My Fire's parent company Industrial Revolution partnered with Leave no Trace in 2007 in an effort to support core Leave No Trace principles which include:1) Dispose of Waste Properly, 2) Minimize Campfire Impacts and 3) Plan Ahead and Prepare.

Joachim Nordwall has won a number of awards including Stora Nolia design price 2005 from Svensk Form for designing the Light My Fire Meal Kit and was nominated for the Design Year prize in 2006. He was also part of the design team that created the Koenigsegg car.

These are much bigger than I envisioned, but that's definitely a good thing. I haven't used them extensively enough to comment on their durability. The only complaint I would have is that I have to be careful about closing my lips around the fork due to the serrated edge. It won't cut you the first time, but it can rough up your lips after an entire meal.
I've been trying to get my boyfriend to take me hiking, but he says I pack too much, so he loves these.

Great product!
I loved the Spork set. They are very sturdy and are great to throw in my children's lunch sacks. We even use them at home if the spoons are in the dishwasher.

Light My Fire Spork
I am using these for lunches at work and at meal and snack times at home. Because I prefer non-metal utensils for eating most of the time, they are handy. One spork tine broke about the fourth time it was used while I was using the cutting edge to start peeling an orange. (I have requested a complementary replacement.) I would like to have them available for a zero waste housewarming to help others appreciate that reducing trash accumulation can be colorful and fun.

Kids love them
We use these sporks in the kids lunchboxes for fruit salad, yogurt, pasta and other non-finger foods.

Very convenient; covers all utensil needs; even fits in the laptop bento box. One less question to address when packing 4 kids' lunches 5 times a week. The navy one discolored in the dishwasher (very top rack); I hope the plastic is still safe.

Coolest gadget ever!
This is the perfect utensil for my son's lunchbox. They are lightweight, durable and colorful. The price is right in case one gets lost.

Great tool!
I originally ordered the sporks to save for camping next summer . . . . but my family loves to use them now! My husband takes them to school because they "do everything". Love the quality, the colors . . . a great purchase.

light my fire spork
Couldn't be happier with these. They make a nice addition to my lunch bag since work doesn't provide eating utensils. They are a little odd feeling in your hand because of the shape but they do what they are made to do...so can't complain.

Not good for lefties

If you are a lefty, when you use the spoon, the knife edge of the fork rubs your hand. It's still a reasonable product, just irritating for lefties.

it broke!!!

After using my spork for only the second time, it broke. My son had finished using it, then washed it in hot water, when it snapped in two. I have yet to use the others, I hope this was a fluke.

Sporktacular
I love these! My husband and I take them to work every day - though it is hard to eat soup with the spoon side. The other two are for our camping gear, and I also thought we'd take them on our upcoming trip since you never know when you might end up having an impromptu picnic lunch.

I took this to work to eat my lunch with there and I love it. I have used it 5 days a week for at least one meal, some days for two and have never had any problems. I've eaten everything from spaghetti to meat loaf, used all three parts of this utensil and recommended it to several people. Mind you I wouldn't try to cut steak with the cutting edge but for the average meal it works just fine.
