Design and Functionality
LunchSkins are a sustainable, convenient replacement for plastic baggies, wraps or bulky plastic containers. (See our tips below!) The same size as a typical Ziploc sandwich bag, LunchSkins have a secure Velcro closure that keeps your food in place. Made with the same material that high-end patisseries use to keep baked goods fresh, they’ll hold any food items without absorbing moisture or grease. And, unlike plastic baggies, you can store hot items in the LunchSkin without melting. Plus, all of the bright patterns go together (and with the snack-sized version), so you can create your own custom lunch set! A discrete area to write your (or your child’s) name means you won’t lose or confuse your Lunch Skins.
Materials
Made from thick cotton fabric coated with food-safe, moisture-proof polyurethane liner. Fabric has been used for years in bakeries and patisseries and meets all EU and U.S. standards for food contact. The highly-adhesive ink used to screen print fabrics has been independently tested for safety and determined to be lead-free, BPA-free and phthalate-free.
Sustainability
Replaces plastic baggies, wrap and aluminum foil – keeping thousands of bags and unnecessary plastic wrap and foil from the landfill.

Care instructions
LunchSkins are dishwasher safe – turn them inside out before washing & let them dry completely before using with food. It’s recommended that you wash LunchSkins before the first use. They will soften and fade with use and multiple washings – just like a pair of your favorite old jeans. To keep them newer longer, spot clean them and air dry.

I love these. They fit a large sandwich or a lot of raw vegetables. They are a great size and very easy to wash. They are super cute too. I've gotten compliments on them already.

reusable lunch bags
The Lunchskins Sandwich bags are wonderful. They can be washed in the dishwasher and the bags keep the sandwich fresh and protected. The construction of the bags look as though they will last a long time. I bought the ones with the green circles on them which are very cute. I am saving money as well as the earth by not using plastic sandwich bags everyday.

I have some other snack bags from another maker.. and it has cloth on the outside and a water-resistant"ish" material on the inside. They seem more luxurious than this bag. It's a well made bag, the stitching and everything, it just seems kind of cheap..
However! It's great that they are dishwasher safe! I gave one to my boyfriend and pointed out this fact (he's a guy.. everything! goes in the dishwasher at his house!).

WOW! LUV IT!
I am a total reuseit geek. Everything on this website is just fab.I was browsing and suddenly my eyes caught sight of these cute designed Snack sacks. I'm just so sick of all the small little plastic bags that get thrown away everyday from my kids lunches and snacks. Finally I found the answer.
All I can say is buy these bags and don't let anyone get in your way.

Great for moist items & cleans up easily
My son loves the shark design. It's easy for him to use. I like the lining on this bag. It holds moist food well. It washes out nicely. We have several different brands of reusable bags and I really like the LunchSkins bag and will be buying more.

Easy to use and wash
So simple yet constructed well. Easy to open and close. Simple to hand wash. The fabric dries fast but the fastening material takes a while to fully dry. I love these lunch bags and will buy more when needed.

I bought several lunch skins products - regular sandwich, snack and extra large sandwich bags, and I love them all. They are durable, fasten securely (even for small foods like nuts), clean easily, and their bright colors even make them fun to look at!

good but need a little TLC

We have been using these bags for about 2 years now, and overall I'm happy with them. They are prettier, more frugal, and more eco-friendly than plastic baggies, probably food-safer too. (I have had allergic reactions to clear plastic bags) Like many non-disposables though, they DO require a little extra care. They are best for dry or only slightly moist things, like sandwiches, or pita wedges for dipping. I don't put them into the sink, because if you get messy food (like olive oil, yikes!) on the velcro it's quite difficult to clean it thoroughly. They have held up well to gentle washing - I turn them inside out, wash them gently, and dry them propped open - make sure they are thoroughly dry! I'm careful to be gentle turning the corners out, and only use bamboo utensils in the bag with them, I can imagine they could be easy to puncture or tear the seams, but considering they are still going strong after daily usage in both adult and child lunches, I have no complaints. The patterns are cute too, and not only have I saved money from not buying plastic baggies, I have saved the time it takes to buy box after box of baggies. Less time in the grocery line counts for something.

Used often and looks nice
I really enjoy being able to grab the sandwich and snack bags
to use in my kids lunches. I feel better not using plastic
bags. I really like how they look and they clean up easily.

i love these bags. i use them for my daughter's lunch. i've recommended them to friends and family already. i pack sandwiches, fruits, vegetables and snacks and haven't had a problem. they are easy to wash or toss in the dishwasher.

I was disapointed with the material and style of stiching. The bag is a single layer, with unfinished edges inside. The material was folded printed sides together, stiched, then turned with print out, leaving the inside edges raw. The velcro was even stiched the same and now the loops are inside the bag and catches the food. I wanted a doluble lined bag like other snack/sandwich bags available on this site, but was temped by the bulk price. Not again, I'll spend the extra money on something else.
