About Mimi the Sardine
Mimi the Sardine was started by Pia Andersson in the late 80s. After designing and producing children's clothing for several major mail order companies including Hanna Andersson and Garnet Hill, the company now specializes in functional products made from eco-coated cotton fabrics directly imported from Sweden.
All of Mimi the Sardine items are manufactured locally in the San Francisco Bay Area. They take great pride in "made-to-last" quality, produced in accordance with strict environmental laws.
Care Instructions
Machine wash, air dry. For smaller spills, just wipe clean with a damp cloth.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bag! When my dd took it to school I got 5 or 6 phone calls asking me where I got it. It is the perfect size for a school lunch.

We love this bag!
We love this bag! Easy to clean, easy to pack. Holds a sandwich, snacks, a thermos, and still have plenty of room. My 4-year old daughter finds it easy to carry and likes that it resembles a purse. A fun design.

This bag is adorable!
This bag is adorable! Not something you usually say about a lunch box. It is also very functional and easy to clean. There is plenty of space for a Sigg bottle, Kids Konserve cotton napkin, and a couple of Kids Konserve stainless food containers with a little space left over. It makes me feel that I am taking extra care to pack my child a healthy lunch and serve it in healthy, safe, green-friendly containers/bag. It feels like the difference between serving dinner on paper plates vs. dinnerware :-)

This bag is the perfect size for a ten year old's
This bag is the perfect size for a ten year old's lunch, not too big and bulky. My daughter has to take a huge binder & a book in her backpack every day and there isn't much room left for a bulky lunch bag so the Mimi the Sardine Medium sized bag is perfect, and it can squish smaller if needed. She loves the Fleur bright design and I love how easy the bag is to clean.

I bought the "fleur" print of this lunchbag for my
I bought the "fleur" print of this lunchbag for my 8 yr-old, that lucky kid! We both adore it: It's practical in that it's incredibly roomy without being large or bulky, it's resilient and very washable, and the bonus is a print that's so whimsical, bold and fun that it actually brings a smile to one's face! I'm sincerely considering getting one myself!

I bought this little bag to use as a purse
I bought this little bag to use as a purse. It has worked out great. It has a feel of quality construction and I love the bright colors of the Fleur pattern. Several people have complimented me on it and have no idea it is supposed to be a lunch bag! It's not medium sized, though. It really is a small bag. I don't know about children's sized lunches, but it could not be used for an adult sized lunch, unless that person only had a frozen dinner and a drink for lunch (sandwich, chips, drink and piece of fruit...maybe).

I bought the hybrid cars print for my preschooler
I bought the hybrid cars print for my preschooler and it's adorable! It's well made and easy to clean. His toddler-sized lunch and sippy cup fit inside perfectly. It is also easy for him to carry and unzip. So bright and cheerful!

How cute is this bag! My pre-school daughter loves bringing it to school. It's not insulated, but that's okay. The design is great, fits enough food and her water bottle and so easy to clean! I want a big one for myself!!

Great bag
Great bag. I was hesitant to purchase this bag because I put all of my kids food in containers and it did not look very big. I was pleasantly surprised, this bag has plenty of room for the water bottle and containers for the food. You won't be disappointed. My daughter LOVES it!
