About Mimi the Sardine
Mimi the Sardine was started by Pia Andersson in the late 80s. After designing and producing children's clothing for several major mail order companies including Hanna Andersson and Garnet Hill, the company now specializes in functional products made from eco-coated cotton fabrics directly imported from Sweden.
All of Mimi the Sardine items are manufactured locally in the San Francisco Bay Area. They take great pride in "made-to-last" quality, produced in accordance with strict environmental laws.
Care Instructions
Machine wash, air dry. For smaller spills, just wipe clean with a damp cloth.

An EXCELLENT lunch bag!
I bought this lunch bag for my kindergartener and it's still holding up in 1st grade. The outside of this bag doesn't seem to get dirty - somehow. The inside cleans easily with a wet rag or a run in the wash. The zipper and stiching has held up perfectly even though I stuff this bag full with a small thermos, drinking bottle and containers. The handles are holding up to and are large enough for my 1st grader to slip it over her shoulder if she wants. I only have one complaint for this soft lunch bag, fruit easily gets damaged in it because at my daughter's school, all the kids put their lunchs in one large container, and hers gets squished. But I'm happy with my choice and will likely buy more for the upper grades as well. You will love this bag! Eugene, Oregon

Cute and Durable!
I bought one years ago and it's still looking good. Therefore I came back to buy 4 different designs for my daughters and niece. They are beautiful and durable. I keep one for myself to keep some personal belongings when going out. I will definitely buy again from you.

This little lunch bag is great and cute too
This little lunch bag is great and cute too. I can fit my sandwick, snacks and even my book inside. The outside and inside are easy to wipe clean and the handles are made of the same material as the inside of the bag so they are pretty sturdy.

My 8 year-old daughter loves this lunch box
My 8 year-old daughter loves this lunch box. She loves the design and the fact that it has a handle so she can carry it easily. It's roomier than I expected and can even hold her KK water bottle. I originally bought her the Bento Box but she didn't like it. I think she was embarassed by it because it looked different from everyone else's lunch box, but she loves her mouse lunch bag.

We love our "mouse bag"!
We love our "mouse bag"! It's the perfect size for my daughter's lunch. The bag is big enough for a small thermos, water bottle and one or two other small containers or ice pack. The big plus is it is easily washable and I don't have to deal with lingering, smelly, sour odors!

I recently ordered the pink mouse print lunch bag
I recently ordered the pink mouse print lunch bag for my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter. She absolutely loves it. Her Benito box fits nicely in the bag, and the zipper is easy and sturdy enough for little hands to use. The bag is so cute and is a dream to wipe clean.

My 7 year old just loves this lunch bag
My 7 year old just loves this lunch bag. It is the perfect size. Somehow everything (small Sigg bottle, small lunch thermos, two snacks plus little things like cutlery, napkin, hand sanitizer) all fit in with no problem. The bag is less bulky than any other lunch box/bag and so much more fun and safe! Also easy to clean.

My daughter and I both love the cute design on this lunch bag. It is just adorable, and she can carry it like a purse. The only thing I do not like is that when I use a cold pack to keep her food cool, the condensation from the pack leaks through the bottom. I had to start putting the cold pack in a ziploc bag and that seems to work fine.

My duaghter loves the lunch bag
My duaghter loves the lunch bag. She just started middle school and the bag looks more like a purse than lunch bag when she is traveling to and from the lunch room. Good quality fabric and design. I know we'll be ordering rrom you again :)
