PackIt Personal Cooler's brilliant design combines the sustainable convenience of a reusable lunch bag with the long-lasting cooling of an ice pack. Put the bag in the freezer (as you would an ice pack). When you're ready to make your lunch, just remove the bag and fill it up. PackIt's integrated Eco-Gel liner keeps contents cold for up to 10 hours - perfect for packing lunches in the morning and keeping food at a safe temperature until lunch. Also good for baby bottles, sporting activities, travel, medical uses and the outdoors. If you live in a hot climate, you can store cosmetics in a cold PackIt, so you won't have to worry about them melting in a hot car.

When empty, it folds up to a small, compact size, so it doesn't take up much space in the freezer or in your bag on the way home. The 2-in-1 design is especially convenient because you won't need to waste space inside the lunch bag by using a bulky icepack. Instead, there's more room for your reusable lunch containers and snack / sandwich bags!

About PackIt
PackIt was created by two mothers in California who one day realized all the healthy items they wanted to include in their kids’ lunches had to stay cold throughout the day. Instead of putting them in their lunches, they remained in the fridge. Their solution then came: reusable, earth-friendly freezable lunch boxes that didn’t require additional cooling packs. Products are designed with fair wage and fair labor practices in China.

PackIt donates a portion of proceeds to What’s In Your Lunchbox? a nonprofit organization promoting nutritious and healthy eating for children with autism with training programs focused on educating in diet, nutrition, adaptive exercise and advocacy.

Care Instructions

Good concept, Disappointing Endurance

by Alison C - 04/2012

I bought two of these for my sons to use this school year and neither one lasted the entire year. The inside liner on one of them ripped within the first month. The velcro on the replacement lasted about 3 months. Now as we approach the end of the school year, the velcro is completely gone from both packs and the inside liner has ripped in both so that whatever kept the pack cold seeped out. They are both useless now. For the price, I would have expected much better quality! I'm going back to a regular lunch box with a cold pack put inside.

Works great!

Keeps food cold all day - plus, without having to insert a ice block to keep food cold - there's room for more than just a sandwich!

These bags seemed like a good idea when we saw the ad on TV. They did indeed keep my kids lunches cold, however, the inside of the bags were wet w/condensation after 3 hours. VERY WET!
My kids said it was "yucky". We may revert back to last years lunch bags. :(

Packit Insulated Lunch Bags

I am NOT happy with these products at all! I would have to say its pretty close to FALSE advertisement!!! My grandchildren and I saw your commercial several times and I thought..."WOW!" That is pretty cool. I won't have to keep remembering to put their ice packs back in the freezer, or have them "accidently" throw them out if they had a lunch bag like yours. I also thought it would be an awesome and invaluable tool to for my son to have for his newborn's bottles while they travel the 6 hours to my house every month. Boy was I mistaken!!!! I tried all 3 of them for my lunches over the past 2 weeks and not one of them held enough coolness for my yogurt or piece of fruit. In fact, the first day I took mine to school, I'm a teacher and I BRAGGED at my wonderful find...anyway, my yogurt exploded within 5 hours because the bag wasn't cool enough. So, I tested and timed each bag everyday, and I found they were only cold 4 hours...the same amount of coolness I get with my less expensive and funner for the kids lunch boxes and ice packs! So, I would like to return all 3 of them. $20.00 a bag without keeping its promise is a waste of my money! I am so disappointed and man so were my grandkids! They waited 3 weeks for them to come after we saw them on TV and I ordered them. Such disappointed faces on my 5 and 8 year old grandchildren when I told them they didn't work. I hate seeing that and hope to never see it again.

It stays cold all day at work. I work 10 to 12 hour days and no matter when I take something out of it - it's cold. Highly Recommended. Easy to wipe off if needed. Contructed very well.

I had seen this on the infomercial on TV and thought it would be nice to have my lunch... not get warm through the long day. I went onine and ordered, excited since it states it will keep things cold for 10 hours. Today is the first day I have used this item and after six hours my yogurt and veggies are waaayyy to warm to eat safely. I will think twice before ordering anything else from this company.

Great bag but weak velcro.

I loved the design of this bag and not having to have a separate cool-pack. And how it collapses to fit in the freezer. However, the velcro closures that hold it when the bag is being used as a lunch bag didn't last. I think we got this when our son started preschool in September...by February the velcro was worn out. Perhaps the company should offer replacement velcro strips that are easy to replace (like modular, double velcro) so when the first strips wear out the whole bag doesn't become unusable. Because everything else works just fine.

clever idea

by Becky K - 01/2011

You don't have to waste space for the ice pack. I actually wanted something smaller, for a snack, but this is a real lunch bag (fits several 2-cup round pyrex containers). Because of the ice packs and the location of the velcro it doesn't fold up much smaller than the 10 inches.

great idea, not great quality

I loved the idea of this lunchbag--not having to put a freezer pack in it means one less thing to worry about. I love the way it folds up when empty. Does a great job keeping things cold. My issue with this item is that the velcro has become unusable. I don't even use this lunch box every day. I bought it in August and used it 2x a week for about 12 weeks before the velcro started deteriorating. I don't know if mine was just defective or what. If the closure worked, this would be a near-perfect lunch bag!

I love this bag. I've only used it a few times because, I'm bad with packing my lunch but it's fantastic. It keeps my lunch cool for hours and has enough room for a sandwich, several snacks, yogurt and more.

Terrific!

Collapsed, these are nice and compact to store in the freezer. I prepare my son's meals and store them in the refrigerator. When ready to go, I throw everything in the Pack-it and go. The handle makes it a nice stand-alone lunch bag -- no need for any other bag in addition to it. Stays nice and cool for a few hours. Love it! P.S. I purchased 3 so that I have alternates to use on days that I need to prepare more than one meal (but don't have enough time to refreeze the first bag).

Pretty good for a few hours

Freeze it all night and it'll keep food cool til lunch time, but not much after that. It's well-designed and not too bulky in the freezer. The bag holds enough for a kid's lunch but once full is big enough to swamp a backpack...the velcro is placed on the bag so that it can't be sealed except at full size, even if you only put a couple of items inside. Your child will have to carry it separately.

I love this bag! My only gripe is that sometimes its not cold enough so I place an extra ice replacement cube inside. Other than that its super convenient and I use this item almost every day.
