Design and Functionality
Using the Reusable Thermal Shopping Bag helps keep foods out of the "danger zone" (the range of temperatures at which bacteria can grow) - usually between 40° F and 140° F (4° C and 60° C). The bags feature an inner FDA-approved food grade protective layer. It forms a double lining within the bag and is completely sealed to maximize thermal efficiency.
Made in the USA. Heavy-duty snap-in handles and a durable reinforced bottom panel have been tested to hold up to 35 pounds. A more durable option than cardboard inserts, the bottom panel is constructed from white corrugated polyethylene and can be removed for quick sanitization. Fully gusseted side panels expand to hold large loads and folds down for easy storage.

Materials
Patented 3-layer thermal technology incorporates an outer reflective layer, a middle insulation core layer, and an inner FDA-approved food-grade protective layer. The outer IR (or Infra Red) reflective layer protects that bag's contents from outer heat, sunshine and moisture. It also aids in retaining inner cold or hot inside the bag. The middle layer is an insulation PE core layer, composed of thick foam that preserves the cold by maintaining a constant, lower temperature. And the third layer, an inner protective layer, is made of food grade materials and is FDA-approved. This last protective layer is completely sealed to maximize thermal efficiency and to keep in freshness.

I've had a set of 4 of these bags for at least 3 years. The insulating quality is remarkable. Groceries stay cold/frozen and give me plenty of time to complete all my errands without the worry of thawing or condensation. Hint: Always tuck the side pleats in before closing the bag and make sure that weight is evenly distributed. That keeps the handles from breaking. I always fold the bags and store flat in between shopping trips to keep them from getting torn/broken.

I bought your insulated reusable bags because of dissatisfaction with the zippers on the supermarket-purchased insulated resusable bags. I like your bags, but I note two reservations. First, I find it hard to get them to close all the way and to stay closed. I suppose that I can figure this out. But the other problem is that they are designed for being carried in the hand, and I use them instead in a shoping cart. Not only do they not stay closed while resting in a cart, but it is hard to place another bag on top of them. (The supermarket bags have a flat top.)

I recommend that you buy 2x the number of bags needed as they don't last very long. All my bags suffered broken handles after 20 to 30 uses. Other than that, they are o.k.

I've used the bags about 5 or 6 times now and they are falling apart. The handle is seperating from the bag. They are also a bit difficult to close. I would not reccomend these unless you were looking for something to just use a few times.

I purchased (5) of these bags as part of my "going
I purchased (5) of these bags as part of my "going Green" contribution rather than using grocery store plastics. I'm more than pleased with these bags. They are constructed very well. Each bag expands and holds so much. The sturdy handle allows for heavy items to be carried easily. Since they also hook on to the grocery cart they make packing the groceries super simple. Once home they fold up easily, or drop 3-4 of them into one bag for storing. Try them for yourself!!!!

I bought two of these a year ago, and one has broken the plastic handle and the other is just looking really worn, but works. I never even loaded them up as much as they say they can hold. I am disappointed and don't recommend them. Or just know you can't carry a 1/2 gallon of orange juice in one when you use it. I still use the broken one in my car to store things for the way home, but it's too hard to take in with me any longer.

These bags are great
These bags are great. I live an average of about 20 minutes from any grocery store and my cold stuff stays cold. Even my frozen stuff stays frozen. They are hard to close properly; but I have mastered it by now. Sometimes when I don't bag my own; the baggers struggle with it and I have to help. A great investment; I use mine all the time.

I have just recently gotten these bag, but love them already. They are strong and hold a lot of items. I haven't left items in these bags for more that 30 minutes so I can't say how well they keep items cool for the 3 hrs stated. Haven't yet used them for hot food.

Good product
Good product. It has lasted fairly well and does work to keep my things cold if I need to be out for a bit or with frozen items. I use just one and may get another for larger shopping trips.

Disappointing
Disappointing. The handle (which is not very comfortable to use) broke, despite the bag not being loaded to its weight limit. These bags do keep food colder than a non-insulated bag if you seal them up all the way. I think the zippered bags with foam insulation work better, esp for summer months. Wanted to like it, really...

I currently do not have direct feedback on your Thermal Bags, but will ask my son. The bags were sent to him in Iraq to help his unit transport frozen or cold food from their Army military base where they pick up food to their desert outpost where they are stationed..about 1 hour away. Hopefully, the bags insulation will hold up against the high temps so they can bring back meats, etc. to cook. Regards, Rosemary Buss
