Design & Functionality
SIGGs are safe reusable bottles that do not leach toxins into its contents. Reusable, lightweight & durable, these bottles can take a hit without compromising the interior lining. About 20% lighter weight than comparably sized Lexan plastic bottles, SIGGs are incredibly durable, virtually unbreakable though they may dent to absorb falls or hits. Just ask the guys at Backpacker magazine who recently tested the leading bottle brands and crowned SIGG as "The World’s Toughest Water Bottle".
Fashionable as they are functional, each year SIGG launches exciting new designs from artists around the world. Much like a fashion house, SIGG rotates and drops designs to keep things fresh. SIGG reusable bottles are beautifully designed - in fact, SIGG bottles are part of the permanent Design Collection at the NY Museum of Modern Art.
Materials
Designed and manufactured in Switzerland from a single piece of pure aluminum, each bottle is perfectly extruded for uniform, seamless construction. The brilliant exterior of a SIGG is created using a solvent-free, eco-friendly, powder-based coating which is baked on to create a vibrant finish.
SIGG reusable bottles have been thoroughly tested in the U.S. and Europe to ensure no leaching of any aluminum or liner contents. We only carry bottles with SIGG's EcoCare liner, which is independently tested to be 100% free of BPA, phthalates, BADGE, BFDGE, and NOGE. The proprietary EcoCare liner is a bake-on, polymer powder coating which is sprayed evenly onto the bottle interior and bonded to the aluminum shell at nearly 200 degrees Celsius to form a permanent, flexible barrier. Just 40 microns thick, this coating comprises only a few grams per bottle and in no way interferes with the ultimate recycling of your SIGG. The liner is taste-neutral and resistant to fruit acids and energy drinks, ensuring that your drinks taste like your drinks every time.

Sustainability
Not only are SIGG bottles designed to be reusable, they are 100% recyclable at the end of their very long lives. Aluminum is one of the most environmentally friendly materials in the world because it is extremely easy to recycle, regaining nearly all of its properties and making it ideal for repurposing.
Single-use, disposable water bottles (PET plastic) create millions of tons of unnecessary waste each year. In fact, according to the Container Recycling Institute, less than 15% of plastic water bottles in the U.S. are actually recycled – most wind up in landfills where they can take up to 1000 years to biodegrade. Using SIGG bottles helps replace wasteful, use-and-toss single serving plastic and paper beverage containers, while saving you money in the process. Reusing durable SIGG bottles ultimately helps you consume less over time.
"More than 90% of the environmental impact of a plastic bottle takes place before the bottle hits the landfill... energy to manufacture, energy to transport, energy to refrigerate--and ultimately energy to recycle." – Dr. Allen Hershkowitz, NRDC
About SIGG
For 100+ years, SIGG has utilized Swiss precision and craftsmanship to produce high-quality reusable bottles. The history of SIGG Switzerland dates back to 1908 when metal processing specialist Ferdinand Sigg established an aluminum product factory in Biel, Switzerland. The SIGG bottle became a fixture in Swiss households; in fact, every member of the Swiss Army had a SIGG bottle issued as standard field gear. A USA subsidiary was launched in 2005, but SIGG operations still remain in the quaint village of Frauenfeld, Switzerland to this day.
SIGG is committed to preserving nature. They choose FSC-certified papers for all their publications, and work with eco-printing plants to actively reduce CO2 emissions and participate in voluntary climate protection.
Care Instructions
- Do not freeze your SIGG aluminum bottle – it will crack!
- Rinsing your SIGG thoroughly under the faucet with warm, soapy water at the end of every day and letting it air dry with the top off provides sufficient cleaning in most cases
- When more thorough cleaning is required, you can use baking soda and vinegar
- For tough jobs, pick up some SIGG cleaning tablets or Skweet and a SIGG brush
- Do not use a hard bristled brush to clean the interior of your SIGG bottle as this may damage the liner.

This handle was crucial for my daughter during the beginning stages of using a water bottle. The bottle was too heavy and slippery for her to grasp without it. Highly recommended!

I love this grip, it makes it easier for my 20 month old to hold onto the cup. I only wish that it fit a little more securely on there on it's own. We got the kids' lids and so those hold it on there, but without that type of lid on there the grip would fall off everytime you took the regular loop-lid off.

I love the SIGG bottles. We always had to hold the bottle for my daughter to drink out of it. With the Kids Grip she can now pick up and hold the bottle on her own.

The kids grip works great, not only does it make it easier for kids to carry the cup around but also it protects little hands from the temperature of the cup itself since it tends to get really cold with milk/juice from the fridge. Recommended.

Very cute!
Very cute! My son likes the dinosaur & it holds just the right amount of water for him. Not as spill proof as I expected although maybe that is user error? The lid on the kids top gets in his face so I have to tuck it under the handle.

The Kid's Grip has been a great addition to my son
1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful
The Kid's Grip has been a great addition to my son's SIGG bottle. It makes it easier for him to hold and it also provides a little bit of a buffer when he drops the bottle, which seems to make it less likely to dent. However, the space between the grip and the bottle is pretty small. My 22 month old's hands fit just fine but it's really too tight for my 4 year old to use.

The SIGG Kids Grip is not as stiff as I thought -- it's a little flexible, just enough to make it handy for hooking on various handles, slots, loops, etc.
