“Stylish bets to keep you hydrated and healthy”
Bottle + Soul

The SIGG Lifestyle series feature hot, limited edition SIGG styles. Much like a fashion house, SIGG rotates and drops designs each year to keep things fresh. If you see a style you like, don't wait! Typically, once they sell out they're gone.

We offer lots of additional info on SIGG in our SIGG FAQs.

Healthy & Safe
SIGG reusable bottles have been independently tested to prove no detectable leaching of harmful chemicals like BPA (learn more about BPA). SIGG's proprietary bottle lining is a water-based, non-toxic coating that is baked into the interior walls and remains flexible and crack resistant for the life of the bottle. SIGG's lining is not plastic – it is a micro-thin epoxy. Due to the finish of the liner, there is much less chance for bacteria build-up with a SIGG as opposed to plastic containers. The liner is taste-neutral and resistant to fruit acids and energy drinks, ensuring that your drinks taste like your drinks every time.

"While the polycarbonate #7 (aka Lexan) bottles leached a significant amount of BPA, the SIGG bottles – both new & used – showed no detectable BPA." -- Dr. Jonathan Chun PhD, Alliance Technology 2007

"According to the results of our evaluation, use of a SIGG bottle does not add to the beverage any particles or components which are dangerous to human health" -- Dr. Ulrich Nehring, Institute Nehring, 2007

Materials
Designed and manufactured in Switzerland from a single piece of pure aluminum, each bottle is perfectly extruded for uniform, seamless construction. About 20% lighter weight than a comparable sized Lexan plastic bottle, SIGG’s are incredibly durable, virtually unbreakable. Just ask the guys at Backpacker magazine who recently tested the leading bottle brands. Test results showed SIGG as “The World’s Toughest Water Bottle”. Click here for more.

The brilliant exterior of a SIGG is created using a solvent-free, eco-friendly, powder-based coating which is baked on to create a vibrant finish. SIGG reusable bottles are beautifully designed, portable works of art that are a perfect blend of function and fashion. In fact, SIGG bottles are part of the permanent Design Collection at the NY Museum of Modern Art. Like a fashion house, SIGG drops and introduces new styles every year keeping designs fresh.

Sustainability
Not only are SIGG bottles designed to be reusable, they are 100% recyclable at the end of their very long lives. Single use, disposable water bottles (PET plastic) create millions of tons of unnecessary waste each year. In fact, according to the Container Recycling Institute, less than 15% of plastic water bottles in the U.S. are actually recycled – most wind up in landfills where they can take up to 1000 years to biodegrade. Using SIGG bottles helps replace wasteful, use-and-toss single serving plastic and paper beverage containers, while saving you money in the process. Reusing durable SIGG bottles ultimately helps you consume less over time.

About SIGG
For 100+ years, SIGG has utilized Swiss precision and craftsmanship to produce high-quality reusable bottles. The history of SIGG Switzerland dates back to 1908 when metal processing specialist Ferdinand Sigg established an aluminum product factory in Biel, Switzerland. The SIGG bottle became a fixture in Swiss households; in fact, every member of the Swiss Army had a SIGG bottle issued as standard field gear. A USA subsidiary was launched in 2005, but SIGG operations still remain in the quaint village of Frauenfeld, Switzerland to this day. In addition, as a member of 1% for the Planet, SIGG USA donates 1% of all sales to helping preserve our environment.

    Problems with Plastic
To learn more on potential leaching from certain plastic containers, BPA, phthalates & additional info showing why SIGG is a safe choice, check out the BPA & Phthalates category in our Newsroom.

    Care Instructions
Rinsing your SIGG thoroughly under the faucet with warm, soapy water at the end of every day and letting it air dry with the top off provides sufficient cleaning in most cases. When more thorough cleaning is required, you can use baking soda and vinegar. For tough jobs, pick up some SIGG cleaning tablets and a SIGG brush. Do not use a hard bristled brush to clean the interior of your SIGG bottle as this may damage the liner.

    I love this bottle

    by Brandi N - 02/2008

I love this bottle. First of all it's reuseable, which is such a wonderful alternative to filling our landfills and/or recycling centers with plastic bottles. Second, it's great for on the go, holds plenty of water for a few hours, keeps it nice and cold, and does not leak. Third, it's very cute! It's a win, win!!!

    Good Product

    by April C - 02/2008

Good Product. I love the design and get many compliments. My only complaint is that the online description says it is dishwasher safe (which was a big plus for me), but the tag that came on the bottle says that putting it in the dishwasher is not recommended. The mouth of the bottle isn't very wide, so cleaning the inside can be a bit difficult, but other than that it's great. I use mine everyday and I feel good that I'm not using plastic.

Love these bottles- our whole family uses them, including our 9-month old. However, they do dent easily and the paint chips over time.

I really like my bottle (Harmony)

    by Adriana A - 10/2007

I really like my bottle (Harmony). It has probably paid itself out with all the money I've saved with bottled water. However, I also had problems with the sports cap (I anticipated these after reading reviews and ordered the black screw cap at the same time), and with only a couple of weeks of use I have already gotten a lot of small scratches in the stripe design. It's a small peeve because it is not a cheap bottle, but easy to overlook because I really like that my water has not funky aftertaste, and that I can take it absolutely everywhere.

It is VERY difficult to drink from this bottle top

    by Cara C - 08/2007

It is VERY difficult to drink from this bottle top. You have to hold the cover back, and continuously press down on the top for water to come out. While you definitely don't have to worry about spilling water all over your bag by accident, it is far too much work for me, never mind my kids, to drink from comfortably. We purchased some kids bottles, and the kids caps are significantly better.

    Great looking, lightweight bottle

    by Paula M - 08/2007

Great looking, lightweight bottle. I like the smaller opening so water does not dribble & its very smooth but would like it to be just a tad larger so that ice cubes from my auto icemaker would fit in it better.

    by Erica B - 07/2007

Loved the bottles, but I bought them for my kids and both of them had trouble with the "active tops". My 3yo couldn't drink from it at all, and my 5yo had some trouble too. I had to go back and order the kid's tops (more like a standard bottle top), which I think come automatically with the smaller bottles, but must be purchases separately with the 0.6L ones.

    I love my SIGG bottle

    by Hilary N - 05/2007

I love my SIGG bottle. The pattern is super cool, and the aluminum keeps water cool seemingly forever--a welcome departure from the limited capacity of plastic. My only one complaint is that the mouth piece/valve is slightly counter-intuitive in its design, and I don't always feel like I get a good flow. I may have to invest in some different bottle tops. But overall, a worthwhile purchase.

I first came by sigg when I bought a drink bottle for my baby daughter. I love that there is no harmful plastic to worry about. She loves the maisy design!
