SIGG Kids Reusable Bottles are a smart, stylish, safe alternative to polycarbonate plastic sippy cups. As parents, we love these bottles because they are durable, spill-proof & leak-proof. The bottle's special liner ensures great taste and is tested to prove 0% leaching. Kids go crazy over the fun, colorful designs. Many of these cool styles are discontinued each year - if you see one you like, don't wait!
Healthy & Safe
SIGG reusable bottles have been independently tested to prove no detectable leaching of harmful chemicals like BPA (learn more about BPA). SIGG's proprietary bottle lining is a water-based, non-toxic coating that is baked into the interior walls and remains flexible and crack resistant for the life of the bottle. SIGG's lining is not plastic – it is a micro-thin epoxy. Due to the finish of the liner, there is much less chance for bacteria build-up with a SIGG as opposed to plastic containers. The liner is taste-neutral and resistant to fruit acids and energy drinks, ensuring that your drinks taste like your drinks every time.
"While the polycarbonate #7 (aka Lexan) bottles leached a significant amount of BPA, the SIGG bottles – both new & used – showed no detectable BPA." -- Dr. Jonathan Chun PhD, Alliance Technology 2007
"According to the results of our evaluation, use of a SIGG bottle does not add to the beverage any particles or components which are dangerous to human health" -- Dr. Ulrich Nehring, Institute Nehring, 2007
Materials
Designed and manufactured in Switzerland from a single piece of pure aluminum, each bottle is perfectly extruded for uniform, seamless construction. About 20% lighter weight than a comparable sized Lexan plastic bottle, SIGG’s are incredibly durable, virtually unbreakable. Just ask the guys at Backpacker magazine who recently tested the leading bottle brands. Test results showed SIGG as “The World’s Toughest Water Bottle”. Click here for more.
The brilliant exterior of a SIGG is created using a solvent-free, eco-friendly, powder-based coating which is baked on to create a vibrant finish. SIGG reusable bottles are beautifully designed, portable works of art that are a perfect blend of function and fashion. In fact, SIGG bottles are part of the permanent Design Collection at the NY Museum of Modern Art. Like a fashion house, SIGG drops and introduces new styles every year, keeping designs fresh.
Sustainability
Not only are SIGG bottles designed to be reusable, they are 100% recyclable at the end of their very long lives. Single use, disposable water bottles (PET plastic) create millions of tons of unnecessary waste each year. In fact, according to the Container Recycling Institute, less than 15% of plastic water bottles in the U.S. are actually recycled – most wind up in landfills where they can take up to 1000 years to biodegrade. Using SIGG bottles helps replace wasteful, use-and-toss single serving plastic and paper beverage containers, while saving you money in the process. Reusing durable SIGG bottles ultimately helps you consume less over time.
About SIGG
For 100+ years, SIGG has utilized Swiss precision and craftsmanship to produce high-quality reusable bottles. The history of SIGG Switzerland dates back to 1908 when metal processing specialist Ferdinand Sigg established an aluminum product factory in Biel, Switzerland. The SIGG bottle became a fixture in Swiss households; in fact, every member of the Swiss Army had a SIGG bottle issued as standard field gear. A USA subsidiary was launched in 2005, but SIGG operations still remain in the quaint village of Frauenfeld, Switzerland to this day. In addition, as a member of 1% for the Planet, SIGG USA donates 1% of all sales to helping preserve our environment.
SIGG Bottle Accessories
Customize your SIGG bottle with a variety of accessories, including colorful caps (all SIGG caps are interchangeable), cleaning tools and insulated sleeves.
Problems with Plastic
To learn more on potential leaching from certain plastic containers, BPA, phthalates & additional info showing why SIGG is a safe choice, check out the BPA & Phthalates category in our Newsroom.
Care Instructions
Rinsing your SIGG thoroughly under the faucet with warm, soapy water at the end of every day and letting it air dry with the top off provides sufficient cleaning in most cases. When more thorough cleaning is required, you can use baking soda and vinegar. For tough jobs, pick up some SIGG cleaning tablets and a SIGG brush. Do not use a hard bristled brush to clean the interior of your SIGG bottle as this may damage the liner.

Great product!
Great product! I love the SIGG bottles and use them in place of sippy cups. My daughter likes to drink from these because they look more like an adult bottle than the sippys. I also purchased the neoprene covers to go with them because she drops and/or throws the bottles sometimes and the covers prevent any dings in the bottles (and keep the contents cold!).

It is a great bottle for kids but make sure your kid can twist this top to open. Don't buy it for too young of a kid. Klean Kanteen is better for the younger ones. My 1 yr old uses the KK and my 2 yr old uses the Sigg. It is very durable except one plastic flip lid has busted on me. The cap on it can get chewed up looking if your kid likes to do that. We have had ours for over 1/2 a year and it does not look too bad but I would likely replace it every yr just to eliminate bits of plastic busting off.

I love the newly updated cap
I love the newly updated cap. It's great that it's all one piece. My son really likes his new "sippy cup" and I love that it's not plastic.

My two girls absolutely love them
My two girls absolutely love them. The glow in the dark decal and tops are a huge hit. We use them as bed time drink cups and they have to have them on the dresser when they have finished drinking so they can see them as they fall asleep.

I am a bit disappointed in this product
I am a bit disappointed in this product. This bottles dent and scratches very easily. also my son dropped it and the top drinking cap broke off itno two pieces. I got it back together, but now it doesnt close as easily. Also it has a twist cap, not a pull up cap to get the water out and my toddler just cant figure it out. I believe a Klean Kanteen would be more appropriate for his age.

I purchased this bottle for my 21mo son and while it is a good bottle, perhaps it would be better for a child a bit older. Since it has no self-regulator on the spout he can open and pour the contents at will which doesn't always make for a happy mom! One other item is that the lid has already cracked after just one drop, so I don't think it's as rugged as I had hoped.
