SIGG's are safe, reusable bottles that do not leach toxins into its contents. Reusable, lightweight & durable. These bottles can take a hit without compromising the interior lining. About 20% lighter weight than a comparable sized Lexan plastic bottle, SIGG’s are incredibly durable, virtually unbreakable. Materials
Designed and manufactured in Switzerland from a single piece of pure aluminum, each bottle is perfectly extruded for uniform, seamless construction. The brilliant exterior of a SIGG is created using a solvent-free, eco-friendly, powder-based coating which is baked on to create a vibrant finish.
SIGG reusable bottles have been thoroughly tested in the U.S. and Europe to ensure no leaching of any aluminum or liner contents. We only carry bottles with SIGG's EcoCare liner, which is independently tested to be 100% free of BPA, phthalates, BADGE, BFDGE, and NOGE. The proprietary EcoCare liner is a bake-on, polymer powder coating which is sprayed evenly onto the bottle interior and bonded to the aluminum shell at nearly 200 degrees Celsius to form a permanent, flexible barrier. Just 40 microns thick, this coating comprises only a few grams per bottle and in no way interferes with the ultimate recycling of your SIGG. The liner is taste-neutral and resistant to fruit acids and energy drinks, ensuring that your drinks taste like your drinks every time.

Not only are SIGG bottles designed to be reusable, they are 100% recyclable at the end of their very long lives. Aluminum is one of the most environmentally friendly materials in the world because it is extremely easy to recycle, regaining nearly all of its properties and making it ideal for repurposing.

In fact, according to the Container Recycling Institute, less than 15% of plastic water bottles in the U.S. are actually recycled – most wind up in landfills where they can take up to 1000 years to biodegrade. About SIGG
For 100+ years, SIGG has utilized Swiss precision and craftsmanship to produce high-quality reusable bottles. The history of SIGG Switzerland dates back to 1908 when metal processing specialist Ferdinand Sigg established an aluminum product factory in Biel, Switzerland. The SIGG bottle became a fixture in Swiss households; in fact, every member of the Swiss Army had a SIGG bottle issued as standard field gear. A USA subsidiary was launched in 2005, but SIGG operations still remain in the quaint village of Frauenfeld, Switzerland to this day.

Care Instructions
Do not freeze your SIGG aluminum bottle – it will crack! Rinsing your SIGG thoroughly under the faucet with warm, soapy water at the end of every day and letting it air dry with the top off provides sufficient cleaning in most cases. When more thorough cleaning is required, you can use baking soda and vinegar. For tough jobs, pick up some SIGG cleaning tablets and a SIGG brush. Do not use a hard bristled brush to clean the interior of your SIGG bottle as this may damage the liner. We also recommend Skweet, the all-natural, non-toxic biodegradable bottle wash.

Great bottle
Really good size. I love the fact that you can fit ice cubes through the larger opening. Just be sure you get a good seal when you close it. Otherwise it leaks.

Great
Love the wide mouth top for putting in ice cubes, but still able to use any of the assorted sport tops for these bottles. I also like the ridges on the bottle, somehow makes it easier to handle than the smooth sided SIGG bottles that I have used. I wish they made this bottle in a smaller size too!

These bottles are great! I love that you can fit the ice in the top and then don't flavor the water like some bottles do. I haven't had the problems some have had with the liner flaking because with this design the threads are on the outside and not on the part with the liner. I buy the sport tops to make it easier. I wish they insulated a little better but I just but the Built sleeve for that and it also makes it easier to carry at the gym .

Great product!
Great product! The wide opening is a good a size for putting under my ice cube dispenser on my refrigerator so I can finally have COLD water. The drinking portion of the bottle is the usual SIGG opening with the screw top cap. I find when I use the bottle and ice with an insulated sleeve it will keep the water cold for about 6 hours.

Sad to say I have been a long time user of plastic bottles and cups since my college years and carried on the trend into my adulthood. Believe or not, I still considered myself a \"light\" conservationist and it wasn\'t until later where I realized I was not placing my actions where my mind and ideals were set. So, I decided to transition into reusable items and I was happy to be purchasing the SIGG. Positives * 1 Liter size is always great to have because you can easily measure how much fluid you consumed. * Wide & narrow mouth top is INNOVATIVE. Open the wide mouth for easy cleaning and adding ice cubes. Drink from the narrow mouth to avoid spills and its great for work outs. * Top assortments from SIGG are out of this world. Every combo you can think of... * Narrow mouth clip is great to be able to unwind the top but not worry about losing the cap itself * MADE IN THE USA Negatives * Will not fit most car cup compartments (at least not mine) * Because of the faint yellow color, for those who drink other types of fluids, I can see how it would be hard to see if anything stuck due to the color of the lining paint * It is unclear what the inner lining is made of due to their lack of disclosure * WHAT AN AWFUL SMELL. This is what led me to return the SIGG...that awful, pungent smell it emits. Upon first receiving the bottle I washed it given the included instructions. I washed it maybe three times and allowed it to air dry. Then I filled up with ice cooled (filtered) water and thought this is just excellent. After maybe 30 minutes of sitting when I go back for another \"swig\", I open the top and this awful smell reaches my nose. DISGUSTING. I washed, rinsed, air dried. No scent afterwards. Filled with water...still no scent. Water sits for a while...awful scent reoccurs. I then rinsed at night and allowed to air dry and next day I ran into the same issues. This occurred three days consecutively and I ultimately decided to exchange this for Kleen Kanteen.

I absolutely love my new SIGG bottle
I absolutely love my new SIGG bottle. For years I have put up with a bottle that leaked every time it fell over in the car; no more leaks with this one! The 'double' lid on this bottle is also great. The larger lid allows the addition of ice cubes, while the smaller lid in the center is perfect for drinking; no more face full of ice when the ice cubes get stuck together and then break loose! The larger lid also makes the bottle very easy to clean and aluminum doesn't hold odors like plastic can.
