Materials
Bottle is made of 304 stainless steel with a polypropylene spout. Free of BPA, Polycarbonate, Phtahalates, Cadmium and Lead. ThinkSport does not line the interior of the bottle with any chemicals. Stainless steel is an iron-containing alloy made from some of the basic elements found in earth: iron ore, chromium, silicon, nickel, carbon, nitrogen and manganese. Properties of the final alloy are tailored by varying amounts of these elements. There are more than 57 stainless steels recognized as standard alloys on the market. High-quality sanitary-grade 304 stainless steel has low nickel content and has excellent resistance to stain or rust due to its chromium content, making it a material of choice among the food processing, dairy and brewery industries. It’s easy to clean, durable, inert and sanitary.
Sustainability
Using a stainless steel thermal bottle helps replaces wasteful use-and-toss single-serving plastic beverage containers, while saving money in the process. Reusing durable ThinkSport bottles helps you consume less over time.
About ThinkSport

All of thinksport’s products adhere to a strict chemical policy and are free of Bisphenol-A (BPA), lead, phthalates, melamine, nitrosamines and biologically toxic chemicals.
Care Instructions
We recommend an old-fashioned cleaner: white vinegar and baking soda. Stainless steel does not rust. If your bottle appears to have rusted, it is a harmless residue left behind from the electro-polishing process. (Electro charges remove fine particles from the stainless steel surface, remove impurities and seal it. Harmless electrolytes are left behind and sometimes turn a rust color).
We also recommend the safe & natural cleaning supplies in our Caps & Cleaning section, including a staff favorite Skweet Sport Bottle Wash.
To avoid damaging the removable filter, be sure to handle it by its solid outer ring.

I like the design and it does not sweat. Unfortunately, it leaks all over and has stained some of my clothing. When I called the company they told me that "it is not leak proof" and that "it is an upright bottle". I would not purchase this it again.

A little leaky

If you're using the bottle to pour, make sure the wipe the mouth of the bottle dry before screwing back on the cap. Otherwise, when you use the drinking top, water will seep through the edge of the pouring top.

love the cup plastic lid holder cracks
I have used these for some time now and given them to friends and family-we all love the cup but everyone has had trouble with the plastic lid holder cracking and eventually breaking. Some more flexible perhaps nylon woven fabric might work better

LOVE this bottle-keeps it cold!
I just bought this bottle and have been using it every day since! I live in TX and I bring this in the car with me while I run errands, etc. I've had it in my hot car for 3+ hours and still had ice in it when I got back.
I haven't noticed any particles or odd smell and if you have small hands it may be difficult to carry. I took it on a 3-mile walk and it didn't bother me a bit. You can carry it by the plastic strap too. Highly recommended!

Searching for the perfect water bottle
2 out of 2 customers found this review helpful
Pros: Great Look, Easy to clean, Keeps water cold enough, Strainer is a great feature, Doesn't leak (even when tossed into the gymbag etc) Doesn't sweat. All in all wonderful product. Thought I found the perfect water bottle for my Son.
Con: After a few weeks, the top is becoming more and more difficult to remove both to fill it and to drink. Haven't decided if this is a breakdown in the product of if it's a user issue.
The search continues.

thinksport stainless steel details
0 out of 2 customers found this review helpful
From the manufacturer: We wanted to address the previous review. thinksport bottles are made from a medical grade 304 stainless steel (18/8 grade). As such, the bottles should not rust. We understand that it would be disappointing to see rust in your trusted sport bottle. On rare occasions (usually in the manufacturing process), iron particles can “contaminate” the surface of the bottle. That is usually the source of any rust coloration. You can try removing the rust color from the surface. If successful, you will have a safe, pretty and rust-free stainless steel bottle. - thinksport

Started out great, rust after 3 months
1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful
I used to really like this bottle. Does a great job of keeping things cold, the filter screen is a nice touch, it's never leaked, and the small opening is perfect for drinking. I've only put water in my bottle and have only had it for three months, but there is a rust spot inside. Until the rust I loved it, but the rust has made me question the quality of the stainless steel. Really would have hoped that it lasted longer than three months! (especially since I bought two) I just bought an insulated Klean Kanteen bottle and hope it serves me better.

Best bottle for cold drinks!!
1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful
I've had this bottle for over a year now, and has been used extensively. I have to say, I've had a number of water bottles over the years, and none of them have come close to the ThinkSport bottle for keeping drinks cold. As others have commented, this bottle will keep the ice in ice water for over 24 hours. Our family typically goes with Klean Kanteen bottles, but everyone always asks me for my bottle once we get back to the car from a long hike or at the end of a soccer game or after a long bike ride. It's the only bottle in the bunch that has ice still in it AND that's even if the other bottles have been in a cooler on ice. I have a nice double insulated Klean Kanteen bottle that I use for coffee, and while it keeps my beverage pretty hot throughout the day (and has a "sippy" lid and a fully sealed lid), I just don't think it would compare with the ThinkSport. I use the ThinkSport solely for water and I don't want to mess up that fresh taste with anything else, so I haven't done a true side by side comparison. OK, so what's wrong with this bottle: I don't think anything!! The wire mesh filter in the top of mine has rusted, but I think that's more my fault for not keeping it dry. Also, the ThinkSport logo has rubbed off the side, but I don't care. I've dropped it a few times and it only has minor dents. Really, the only bad thing is that it doesn't fit in any of the cup holders we have AND I can't use it in my primary cup holder on my bike. It does fit in the adjustable bag I have attached to the back, so for long rides, I always put it back there. One reviewer mentioned that their strap broke. I've been using mine for over a year, and I almost always carry it by that strap. I just took a peek at it as i wrote this review, and other than some slight fraying on the edge, it's still solid. Also, ThinkSport will provide you with a new one for a mere $1.00 US. In addition to my wire mesh rusting, it's also broken (mesh has separated from the surrounding metal). However, I think I've been a little rough with it AND like the strap, you can get them for a nominal price (3 for $2.00). Bottom line: If you can find a better sports water bottle for any price, I'd like to know about it.

LOVE the bottle-keeps things cold for 24 hours. The only problem is that after months of use the plastic connector that allows you to take the top lid off and drink without separating it from the containor which is really a great feature cracks and breaks which means you have to hold that top while you drink or put it down risking losing it

Greatest water bottle ever!
Never sweats, kept my ice solid for 24+ hours, and the strainer keeps the ice from hitting my teeth. I can also do loose leaf tea with the strainer too! I am really in love with this bottle!

The Thinksport bottles keep water colder for longer than any other bottle I have used. We use it at the beach and it keeps water cold. I'm very impressed.

best bottle for keeping drinks cold!
1 out of 1 customers found this review helpful
i got the black bottle the other day, and took it with me on a day trip walking all over the big city in the heat. my sister's bottle was warm a couple of hours into our trip, and mine still had ice in it as we returned home that evening! i haven't tried the hot beverages yet, but it is the best bottle for ice cold beverages i have ever had! i also love that it doesn't sweat at all (even in the texas heat!). i would highly recommend it!

This bottle is very large and awkward to use. I have fairly large hands and can't hold it with one hand. It takes up a lot of room in a bag and is heavy when full.

Love it!

We bought these after our Camel back bottles broke and love them. I did not see an extra silicone ring as indicated in either package and hope we don't ever need one. I'm amazed that my ice doesn't melt even over night. I like how the mesh filter keeps ice from falling in your face. Recommend!
