I had gotten 2 of these for my boys (2 & 4) and they love them. They are meant for just water & my kids just unscrew the entire top to drink out of it. They were so excited to create the faces on their bottles. I just wash them and hang them on my bottle dryer, which is what I use for all of their cups. They love drinking out of it, so they are definitely consuming more water. I will definitely get more before spring, just because of that alone, to gear up for the pool.
My kids loved that they could decorate their own water bottles with the stickers provide boys ages 9 & 4. I was able to write their name on the bottle for school purposes. We’ve frozen the water bottle on two occasions with no issues. We only use them for water; my concern with the product is cleaning them. Since the opening is small it becomes challenging to clean them. I’ll freeze half way with water and then in the more fill the rest with cold water. When I packed them in their lunch for hot days I froze the bottle filled it double as an ice pack and a back up water supply. The kids like clipping them to their backpacks.
I would recommend this product to other parents
Works for us. I agree with other reviewers, there are issues with the product, but it is totally workable. I ONLY fill it with water, as any other liquid would be difficult to clean. So if you are looking for something to hold juice or milk, this probably isn't for you. I also freeze it and it works fabulously as a lunchbox ice pack. Dual purpose - love it! To clean, I fill with hot water and soap, shake and rinse. To dry, I stick my finger inside and puff it up a bit, then air dry. We have had for a few weeks now, and i have not had a problem with mold. The sports cap IS impossible for my kids (4 & 6) to open and close securely. I have taught them to simply unscrew the entire lid, instead of using the sports cap - works much better. And yes, the kids loved decorating them.
My kids love these. They were fun to decorate and very unique. However, they aren't the most practical. The lids are tough for my kids to open on their own (my 3 yr old has to unscrew it because he can't work the sport top at all, and my 6 yr old can get it half the time). Also, the inside of the pouches stay wet for a long time. I'm afraid this could cause germs to linger or mildew.
My kids love the Foldable Quenchers Water Bottle. The only problem is it never gets completely dry inside after I clean it. As a result, after just 3 weeks of school lunches, the bottle has black mold/mildew inside that I am unable to get out. I tried to run it through the dishwasher but that didn't help. I wouldn't recommend this product.
This is the only article I was somewhat disappointed with. The design is fun, and its a nice idea to let your kid put on the stickers. But some major downers are: the tiny cap, which is not secured from slipping away and get lost, the cleaning of its inside appears impossible and the fast wear and tear of the mouth-piece doesn't impress me. I believed to have bought a more thought out product for a steep price. The cute design and the child-not-so-friendly handeling of it doesn't convince me.
I bought 2 of these, one for my son and one for my daughter. They absolutely loved decorating them with the stickers and the stickers stay on which is nice. On the downside, the "pop" top is hard to open (my daughter is 8), and more importantly.. they are VERY hard to clean. My idea was to replace Capri Sun with this, I put OJ in it one time, have tried repeatedly to clean.. it still smells like OJ. I even tried vinigar solution. I would not recomment this product. They are a little tall also, just barely fit in lunch bag.
